This month I would like to start off with an apology. Last month I asked
readers to leave a message to the forum moderator at America OnLine. My
magazine was up, and they just as quickly removed. I do now have a
download area in the Telecom Forum. The creation of the area was due to
the help of Glenn Brensinger. However, Glenn can only do so much. The
rest is up to AOL. They will do it at their speed, and is no reflection
on the job Glenn is doing. I was in contact with several companies and
told them, rightfully so, that the files were available. They called me
back to tell me they could not find them. Yes, they were removed as
stated above. My credability was not that great. So I took the stand I
did here. When I called to upload the last issue, I found in the interim
the area had been created. So, once again I would like to apologize to
Glenn for any undue problems it may have caused.
Spring is here, and with it some hot reviews from CTM, especially in the
shareware department. This month we look at:
Hardware: ATI Graphics Ultra Pro, Practicard PCMCIA fax/modem.
Software: Q&A for Windows, Winfo Pro for Windows. We also look at a
company that will reproduce your signature.
CD-ROM: Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia, AccuMail, Tetris Gold, ASP
Advantage.
Shareware: Releases from Software Creations.
In coming months, I have the new Hayes Accura 288 Fax/modem, HP DJ560C
color printer, Norton Utilites 8.0, Norton Desktop for Windows, PC Tools
2.0 for Windows, PC Tools 9.0 for DOS, and much more.
We are nearing the end of out second year online, and the future is
looking very bright. We are around 300 BBS that receive CTM each month,
and have noticed a huge number of downloads on AOL. We are also on
CompuServe, and working on getting access to the Internet. I have
already received an inquiry from Italy wishing to distribute CTM there
if they could get it from the Internet. Hopefully they will be able to
soon.
Until next month.
Tony Curro...
